How the calculation works
Combines each date with its time into a single point in time, then finds the difference between the two in total minutes. That total is broken down into whole days, whole hours, and remaining minutes, so a span of any length, hours or many days, reads clearly.
Formula
Duration = (End Date + End Time) − (Start Date + Start Time), converted to days, hours, and minutes.

Aug 10, 2026 9:00 AM → Aug 12, 2026 5:30 PM
2 days, 8 hours, 30 minutes (56.5 total hours)
