Pay Raise Calculator

Work out your new pay and the raise amount from a percentage or flat raise, salary or hourly.

Inputs

Enter a percent (e.g. 5 for 5%) or a flat amount in the same unit as current pay, depending on the type above.

Result

New pay

$63,000.00

Raise amount$3,000.00
Percentage increase5.00%

How the calculation works

Enter your current pay in whatever unit you track it (annual salary or hourly rate both work, just keep it consistent), then choose whether your raise is a percentage or a flat amount. This computes your new pay, the dollar amount of the raise, and the equivalent percentage increase so you can compare offers stated either way.

Formula

New Pay = Percentage ? Current Pay × (1 + Raise % ÷ 100) : Current Pay + Raise Amount. Raise Amount = New Pay − Current Pay.

Examples

  • $60,000 salary, 5% raise

    $63,000.00 new pay (+$3,000.00, +5.00%)

  • $25.00/hr, $1.75/hr flat raise

    $26.75 new pay (+$1.75, +7.00%)
