Result

Cost of this meeting

$300.00

How the calculation works

Treats every attendee's time as costing their hourly rate for the fraction of an hour the meeting runs, then sums across everyone in the room. If you mark it as a weekly recurring meeting, it also multiplies by 52 to show the annualized cost, which is often the number that reframes whether a recurring meeting is worth keeping.

Formula

Meeting Cost = Number of Attendees × Average Hourly Rate × (Duration in Minutes ÷ 60). Annual Cost (if weekly recurring) = Meeting Cost × 52.

Examples

  • 6 attendees, $50/hour average, 60-minute one-time meeting

    $300.00 for this meeting

  • 8 attendees, $60/hour average, 30-minute weekly meeting

$240.00 per meeting, $12,480.00 per year
