How the calculation works
Divide your annual salary by the total hours you actually work in a year, hours per week times weeks worked per year, to get an equivalent hourly rate. This is the reverse of the Hourly to Salary Calculator, useful for comparing a salaried offer against an hourly one, or estimating your effective rate if you left a salaried role for freelance or contract work.
Formula
Hourly Rate = Annual Salary ÷ (Hours Per Week × Weeks Worked Per Year).
